When Blaser first started to develop the F3 in the late 90s, a groundbreaking innovation in shotgun history was born. The gun and rifle manufacturer’s clear intention was to reconfirm its position as technology leader.

Since introducing it to the market in 2003, ‘project F3’ has been nothing but a success story: The elegant shotgun, with a technically and ergonomically thought through design, has lead to countless international victories. With the addition of American Skeet and American Trap, the F3 has also become a global winner. The catalogue also illustrates continuous enhancements and latest developments of the F3.

IBS® – Inertial Block System

Within a split second the F3-trigger turns the thought impulse of the shooter into igniting mechanics. It breaks "crisp as glass" at 1,400 grams making it the most important contribution to the successful shot. The shooter is able to achieve the ideal forward allowance without any delay when pulling the trigger and thus tap his full potential.

F3 Balancer-System

Three criterions make a first class shotgun rise above the competition: its total weight, its balance and its weight distribution.
Focus on Balance

The patented Blaser balance optimisation system consists of two components:


The stock balancer is a threaded rod with two weight cylinders replacing the normal stock nut in the stock. It can be implemented without a weight cylinder, with one or two weight cylinders. Fitted as standard for all Competition models, optional extra for all other models. The barrel balancer allows you to increase the total weight up to 213 grams. This option is available for all Competition models.

EBS®–Ejection Ball System

To some extent the success of a shot is determined before mounting. Smooth movements, controlled by intuition and precise mechanical operations merge to a winning formula.
* At the moment of firing the strikers not only hit the firing pins, they simultaneously hit the ejector pins in the system. They activate the ball system function in the ejectors for the upper and lower barrel
* While the gun is in storage, the ejector springs remain tension free so that spring fatigue is impossible
* The resistance when closing remains the same, no matter if the ejectors have been used before or not
* The extremely soft closing of the gun enables you to focus your concentration on nothing else but the shot

Combi Safety

In the past decades Blaser has set new safety standards in shotgun and rifle technology: Blaser safety systems think ahead, anticipate operating mistakes and protect sportsman and companion in the best possible way – even when unexpected incidents occur. The F3 Safety combines trigger safety with an innovative safety striker catch system: In the event of a sear breaking, knock or a fall the hammer is caught – no matter if the safety is engaged or not.

The resistance of the entire F3 lock up system has been optimised with the Finite-Elemtens-Methode (FEM). The superior quality of its mechanical parts is as uncompromising as ist design. Ultramodern, computer-controlled heat treatment processes such as the nitrocarburisation of the F3 action achieve outstanding resistance characteristics.
